Rationale: The task of documentation by corporate engaged in International Business is considered very routine function. The transactions under LCs provide much needed security of payment to an exporter and assurance of delivery to the importer. The discrepancies under Export Letter of Credit cost heavily to exporters in terms of realization of Export Proceeds.
