Deemed exports! It is a widely spread misunderstood concept in India. What is unique about deemed exports is that as a concept it is only applicable in India and nowhere else in the World.

Rationale:

The group comprising 27 European Union Countries is an important trade partner for India. The trade between India & European Union countries has seen quantum jump in bi- lateral trade during past decade. It is for this reason that the Government of India & European Union Countries has been actively negotiating Free Trade Agreement.

At present trade between India and European Union Countries is governed by a Unilateral arrangement termed as Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) where in goods of Indian origin enjoy duty concession in GSP member countries.

With effect from 1st January, 2017 Europeans Union Countries have introduced REX System under GSP arrangement, which has become mandatory compliance after 1st January, 2018.

Objective:

The objective of this webinar is to acquaint the participants with the nuances of newly introduced REX System there by augmenting their business to European Union Countries by minimizing the competition.
