Introduction: The FTP 2023 has introduced initiatives to promote exports and facilitate trade in India. These include rationalizing export performance thresholds for recognition of exporters as status holders, allowing merchanting trade involving shipment of goods from one foreign country to another, accepting rupee payments under FTP schemes, and declaring four new towns of export excellence. These initiatives will reduce transaction costs and enable more exporters to achieve higher status, ultimately promoting international trade and economic growth. Objective: The objective of this program is to acquaint the participants with nuances of existing as well as emerging export incentives and their impact on Export Pricing. It will lead to making their export business more lucrative, profitable by enabling them to compete Internationally. For Whom: The program would be of use and interest to all those who are into export business, prospective exporters and export professionals, besides International Marketers. Contents Ø Facilitation under the Advance Authorization Scheme (AAS) ü Features of Advance Authorisation Scheme ü Duty-free import of raw materials for manufacturing export items.
Ø Facilitation under the Export Promotion of Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme ü Features of EPCG Scheme ü Import of capital goods at zero Customs duty for export production, is being further rationalized ü Green Technology products – will now be eligible for reduced Export Obligation requirements under EPCG Scheme
Ø Special one-time Amnesty Scheme under which Exporters who have been unable to meet their obligations under EPCG and Advance Authorizations can be regularised on payment of all customs duties exempted in proportion to unfulfilled export obligations.
